Julie and Julia is My Life Model

i have just gotten home from seeing, "Julie and Julia".
and i must say it was humbling and colorful-
both literally and figuratively.
...made me hungry too, hahaha!
but everything about that movie was timeless.
EVERYTHING inspired me about that movie.
the way Julie and Julia dressed, their living abodes...
everything to me about that movie was precious.
not only that, but it had everything i could possibly love crammed into it.
blogging
food
cooking
humble living
creative writing
colors...
oh luscious love.
it makes you really think.
it was funny though because i love food and cooking,
and when they'd whip out cheese and bread,
i'd tell my boyfriend, "that brie and baguette!"
or the lobster bit, i told him, "watch, the lobsters are gonna 'scream' when they're put into the boiling water."
and he was stupified about how i knew all of this.
i was just like, "it's thanks to nutrition and my love of food." haha.
it was lovely though.
very funny, thought-provoking, and just plain lovely.
i'm definitely inspired.
haha, guess it was a calling-a sign of sorts.
for this film to come out on my birthday!
i wasted no time adding this movie in to my favorite movie vault.
it REALLY deserves that spot.
oh! also, it was too late and i'm broke anyway (WHY I NEED MONEY)
to buy food to start cooking after seeing, "Julie and Julia".
so i googled pictures and information instead, haha.
i found Julie P.'s blog while on my search too:
quite exciting and gives me yet another blog to read!
until then, i'll ogle @ some more pictures of my favorite-looking food from the movie
that i just can't seem to get out of my head:
the fried bruschetta and tomato!
i bet it was loaded with butter if she ever made it after her project!
hahaha.
yummy!

and only as Julia Child and her follower can say:
Bon Appetit.

I Think I Can Relate to Mr. Krabs Now

oh how i need money in my pocket.
i'm gonna have to start job searching again...
*sigh*
as long as i have SOME money in my pocket @ times!
if i had a job, @ least sooner or later i could:
save up bit by bit for a laptop,
buy food @ Paradise (or other craveable places),
get my rook/tragus/snug pierced @ least eventually,
a tattoo eventually,
have money period,
get my boots out of layway,
buy food to experiment my cooking skills on,
get Blizzards more often,
go grab those ankle boots and sunglasses @ Target,
...oh gee....just SO much i could do if i had moolah.
*siiiiiiiigh*
sooooo depressing.

NEW ADDITION...And a Strong Hunger Pain!

sooo...
as it can be plainly seen on the top of my page,
i have a music player now!

i like it, i judt hope it doen't bother anyone reading my blog.
it's conviently @ the top so you can adjust it any which way.
i'm nowhere near done putting music on it though, i just got it started!
the computer was TOO slow searching for songs.
and i'd like to play some Guitar Hero: World Tour tonight after studying.
so i'll ge back to it eventually.
glad i @ least started it though!
so i'm heading on out for now.
gotta shower, homework...
...and daydream about Paradise Bakery and Panera Bread...
ohmigosh thanks Tracy!
for making me eternally hungry for ALL of their food
for ALL of eternity!
ugh,
hahaha!

TOYS: Furby

i don't know how many people would deny it...
furbys were some creeper toys.
i had the all-white furby
loved it!
...until one day i slid it down the stairs
and it said, "ouch!"
...it NEVER had said, "ouch!" before...
i was on some, "I Love the 90s" group on facebook
and me and some people got ta talkin' about the furby's...odd ways.
someone even said they were just creeped out by it,
so they took it outside w/a lighter so they could burn it.
right when they held up the lighter to their furby,
he opened his eyes and said, "i love you. will you be my friend?"
that person dropped it and RAN!
hahahaahahahaa!
anyone else have a freaky furby story??
ah! furbies!

Oooh Sweetness...

oh-my-goodness...
this blizzard @ Dairy Queen's is
AMAZING!!
i LOVED it!
i tried it yesterday and it was wonderful.
thin mints are my favorite girl scout cookie.
and i've loved blizzard ever since i tasted one a few months ago...
so this was like, "BAM IN YO FACE!"
lovely!
i even dedicated this mint-colored font
to the thin mint blizzard.
oh dang...i'd LOVE another one right now...
i put the remaing bits of my blizzard from yesterday in the freezer
and woke up today to find that the ice cream wasn't creamy anymore
it was icey and flaky
bleh.
made me sad.
but i will continue to endulge myself in more blizzards to come!
ESPECIALLY since the DQ i go to gives you a reciept w/a $1 off your next blizzard!
mwhahahahahahaaaaa!

This Is Getting Stupid...

okay,
so i was in school last year when i saw this.
and i went nuts,
in a bad way.
this is the STUPIDEST mp3 i've EVER seen!
why in the WORLD would someone want a music-player this small?!
...with NO BUTTONS!
i heard it talks...
that's SOOO inconvient!
it's the smallest pain in the butt i've ever seen!
what the hell??!!
ugh, that's crazy...
whoever let that pass as a great add-on to Apple's
music-player addition
is unbelievable.

Oh Yeah! Item of the Week!

my chucks!
haha, they're high tops i got a while ago.
i've gotten compliments on them.
but i haven't seen anyone else w/a pair like these which is awesome!
they're red with black and a few bright mustard yellow stripes.
pretty tight, huh?
these are the only real pair of chucks i own.
that's gonna have to change!
i have another pair of, "look-alikes"
but the soles are cream
and the shoe is this velvet-y pumpkin orange squares sewed together.
i'm gonna have to feature those sometime soon!
love it!

I Hope I Still Have it!

hahaha!
i was thinking about old toys
I used to have SOOO much fun with.
and in the car i thought about my pokemon camera!
i almost remembered it to the tee before i googled it, haha!
i decided to make posts in my blog every once in a while to reminense old toys
that i remember and hopefully that you remember too!
i'll have a fun one coming up soon!
can't wait to get started on this project!
hahaha!
oooh toys...

Movies! Movies! Movies!

okey dokey...i remember saying that i wanted to write about all the movies i wanted to see that were coming out this month-and there's A LOT!

like over to your left, "The Goods" looks so funny! i had to laugh-hard-when they sold a blind man a car. a movie on car dealers made into a comedy is something interesting and different! curious about that movie for sure!

also, i mustmustmust see, "Julie and Julia"! i love cooking, food, blogging and movies...what's not to love?!?!! and hearing about Julia Childs makes it seem like an inspirational film. aaaand it's based off a true story-epically awesome! truth behind a colorful story! cannot wait to see it!

MUST see, "PONYO" like i said before...LOVE those movies! i don't know why, but seeing the animation of that movie makes my heart skip a beat literally! so weird, but if not only my mind is telling me to see this movie, but my body as well, then for sure it's a must-see VERY soon!

"Paper Hearts" looks cute and interesting. gotta find out what theaters it plays in. ive heard lots of good about it though. verrry curious about that one...

and maybe: "Time Traveler's Wife" and "The Final Destination" (FINALLY!)...gotta see what the FINAL one is gonna be like. i wasn't too impressed w/the 3rd one. kinda sucked in my opinion. i liked number two's car crash the best!

well, that's it for now.

LOTS of moives i want to see! Get ready popcorn, cause here i come!

FINALLY

*whew*
first three days of senior year are over!
i had a rough time not being on blogger!
*sniff sniff*
but i managed by writing out TONS more post ideas
for my blog.
i'm thinking about adding a music-player too,
so we'll see how that works out.
but anywho, after many class changes
and just as many brain farts when it came to trying to remember
how to get around school...
i have the PERFECT schedule!
it's REALLY weird though...
i'm SOO used to honor classes
cause i've been taking them since 6th grade.
but now, not only are all of my classes WONDERFUL...
...but my lunch period's wonderful,
my classmates are cool,
my locker's in the perfect location for ALL of my classes,
i have SO much free time during passing periods
due to all my classes being on literally only one half of the school...
i felt so weird-like something was missing...
...to the max, haha!
but yeah, everything's perfect (SOOO weird to say that!).
and i saw several people w/new tats and piercings for the year!
ugh, oh boy was i jealous!!
can't WAIT until my day comes!
meanwhile, i'm having fun w/my classes.
they're all electives except economics and english AP/IB Lit.&Comp.
so i have:
photoshop (LOVE it, especially the fact that it DIDN'T cost $800 like photoshop usually can!),
beginning jewelry (we will be making jewelry-cool!),
orchestra-SUPER small class this year! love it though
Japanese-sweetest teacher EVER, haha her happiness is SO contagious!
some "emo" girl said to her friend, "i'm happy...you can't help but to be happy in her class!"
i'm just UBER pissed that mom wouldn't let me take it ASAP,
because i'm really loving that class
cause i love that culture.
i'm definitely continuing after highschool...
umm, let's see:
study hall w/my freshman English X techer and cool kids
awesom lunch as said before...
i think that's it.
but school is soooo easy and fun now!
i know, that should be unlawful,
school should be depressing...
but it's actually amazing in my edge of the woods!
don't hear that everyday, huh?

Damnit Blogger!

so school starts tomorrow...
which means i'll be super-busy w/school stuff!
this epically sucks to the epic extreme!
i LOOOOVE blogging and i've been going through
a blog overload
thanks to reading all these awesome blogs
and wanting to write awesome blogs as well...
my heart aches and is sad that this day has come.
i'll try my darndest to keep up my blog posts though!
i'm determined to keep up w/my true love!

Yay! I Might be Getting a Bod Mod Afterall!

i have permission to get a tattoo!
my mom seems MUCH cooler with it than
another piercing
(gonna have to work on that later).

i know, you're probably saying, "why doesn't she just sneak and get it done??

...or do the piercing herself?"

well, because one, i COULD NOT pierce myself knowing when the pain will come

two, i like me my sanitary studio with its minimal pain luxuries.

and three, i don't have a car to sneak up there in and NO sense of direction

sooo....yeeeah...haha!

anywho, my mom was cool w/a tattoo and said a-okay for one

she said on my foot, were thinking of places (aka-body parts) now!

and i think i know what i'm gonna get, i'm not sure. i gave my mom a head's up on the fact that it's more expensive and permanent (duh) than a piercing, but she said okay, sooo...

cool, gotta think (again) long term on this and my future so...

here goes nothing! i'm toooo hyped though!

DO NOT FORGET 08.31.09

DO NO FORGET!

NYLON is giving away 22 FREE songs on itunes-no strings attached (i know, i was skeptical too!)!

but thanks to the downloads, i have new artists to love and to hold.

i've wrote about this subject @ least two other times, so look to my most recent for the link and names of the songs and artists!

go ahead and share the love of music!

before the day of 22 free songs expire-08.31.09

DO IT!!!

Ponyo Makes My Heart Skip a Beat!

this moive called, "Ponyo" is coming out
the 14th i believe.
it literally made my heart skip a beat!
from Hayao Miyazaki comes this movie!
i love his movie and the animation
it literally makes me awe w/wonder!
the color, the...everything!
i've seen bits and pieces of his movies
which sucks cause they're sooo beautiful
and fantastic!
like his movies, "My Neighbor Totoro", "Kiki's Delivery", and "Spirited Away"...
ohmigosh they're just so wonderful!
but i can't get my grubby fingers on them!
=[
but this one's in theaters...
so i should be able to catch it!
i NEED to catch it!

The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread!

ya see this picture?? on the left here??

this stuff is amazing.

i've tried artifical butter type things before like butter flakes...things like that...bleh.

but this one, these are no "butter flakes",
this stuff is YUMMY!! and BUTTERY!

i (as well as the rest of my family) put this on EVERYTHING! you can find it anywhere like Wal-Mart and such-so not to fear!

ramen noodles, buttered pasta, fish, veggies...it's SO GOOD!

AND it's low in calories and barely harms your body @ ALL.
so LOAD UP your baked potatoe w/it! please....PLEEEEEEASE try it out! put it on your grocery list! i've never tasted such lovely (no harm done) butter tasting non-butter product ever! ooooh delicious!!

i'm sharing some precious treasure...try it!

Hmmm...

....Coconut M&Ms...
haha, my mom bought some @ Wal-Greens.
they're...interesting, when you first try one,
but i really like them!
i'm a pretty big coconut fan (scent and taste-wise)!
give it a go!
it won't hurt
aaand it's a limited time offer!
yummy...coconut!

I Can Fall in Love Again!!

psssst!
hey, remember this boot i talked about
in an earlier post??
and how it was love @ first sight,
until i saw the price-$85.
then i was broken??
well, it's "on sale"
for $50
(should've been %50 all along if you ask me...)
so i have a reason to fall in love again
and still have hope!
<3

EVIL Prank!!...I HAHAHA I Must Try it!!

so my dad and i were watching that burger king commercial
with the perv-lookin king guy pulling pranks on sleeping citizens.

and my dad thought back to hazing days...

he told me about a prank i MUST try!:

first, you get someone w/a bell ready, another person w/a flashlight,

and one other person w/a pillow...

the person w/the bell starts ringing it and yelling, "TRAIN!!! TRAIN!!!"

while the flashlight person turns the light on dead in his face.

when the sleeper starts to "come to"

hit him w/the pillow to make 'em freak!

they'll be so sleepy and out of it, they'll probably freak and think they DID get hit!

it sounded SOO funny!

I've GOT to see it in action!

hahaha!

I'm 18!

i have soooooo much to write about! i even wrote a list on a notebook-i'm already on the back of the first page!

but this post is simply stating that...i'm 18 today! sooo much happens today (in my opinion) and this month... i cannot wait! i asked for a cookie dough Blizzard with a single red sparkler candle in it-didn't get my candle, but it's cool, haha! i'll get it someday as my own little treat. also, i'm getting a birthday cake from Meijer and i asked if they have a pokemon-themed cake w/the original 151, then that's what i want!

i love pokemon, i swer they brain-washed me as a child!

anywho, i've gotten lots of birthday wishes on facebook and in texts (thanks everybody!). and my grandpa thought i turned 15 today, haha! better than last year...he thought i turned 12!!

aaaand the State Fair opened up its first day today! i LOVE the State Fair!!! every year, they introduce a new food-we didn't go last year (*sob*), but the year before was fried pepsi.

they've fried darn near anything @ the fair, so all that's left is...CHOCOLATE-COVERED bacon (sprinkled w/powdered sugar). hahaha gotta try it!

they have a pig race too-gotta see it! their motivation is an oreo at the end of the track, haha!

there's a lot of movies coming out that i wanna see too today and this month (explain in later post).

but now that i'm 18 i can:

  1. smoke (not on my to do list)

  2. play the lotto

  3. go to adult prison (also not on my to do list)

  4. go to Dave and Buster's by myself

  5. get piercings and tattoos w/o parent consent

  6. drive and text legally

  7. get emancipated (thanks Julius!) haha not on to do list!

  8. buy things on TV

  9. sign up for shows like ANTM or Real World

  10. get a job w/o worker's permit

so that's about it-quite a bit haha!

i have quite a bit more to talk about on later posts!
toodles!

"Modern Families" Caught My Eye!

while watching, "Orphan",

there was a preview for a show coming out

on ABC

in September

called, Modern Families!

the previews looked SOOO funny!
i, personally, can't wait until it airs!
the picture from the show i can't get out of my mind
was when the "dad" from one of the families
said he was cool,
since he knows all of the dances from HS 3.

then they showed him dancing to, "Were All in This Together"!
HILARIOUS!!!
and the gay family bringing home their adopted baby??
and a woman, "called" them creampuffs...
ohmigosh-
i cannot wait!

TOO Cute!

so i tend to look up
the african american/mixed
"scene" and "emo" girls
no need to label,
but these girls can be SOO cute!
i love their look and fashion
(ALL sorts of fashions really)
but this is one i can see myself wearing the most
i tried the band trick on me
and it didn't work out...
=[
might give it another go!
these girls REEEEALLY make me wanna!
super sexy and super cute girls!
(pssst...i love the girl @ 1:36 !!!)
i'm SOO glad i discovered their exsistance in more places
than the few friends i have that are like this!
share the love!
<3

I've Never Seen Sloppy SOO Cute!!!

i saw Vanessa in this outfit in a recent Seventeen mag.
and fell in love w/its cute sloppiness!
i was inspired by the boots and socks.
i've been on the search ever since (or a few months before even)
for cute over-the-knee socks
and a cute boot to let the sock peek-a-boo under!
but i reeeeally love this look!
inspiration is all aound.
i saw another sloppy look
on loobook.nu
it was cute too!
can't find that girl anymore though...
but i WILL muster through my limits!

Testing, Testing...1,2,3 Testing...

Classic Black
Classic Black by minimouse2105 featuring Marc Jacobs bags

yay!
i just wanted to see if my polyvore set would get onto the sight!
now that i know it works...

i shall post them on here!
=]

this was an edgey classic sophisticated look inspired by Rihanna that i put together.
i'd love to have an occasion to wear something similar to this someday!

Schoop's!: More Chicago Fun

oooh yummy!
we ate @ this place along the highway
on our way home from Chicago.
it was called Schoop's
and i loved the experience!
(hence my new default picture @ schoop's)

as soon as we walked in,
i could hear a Backstreet Boy song playing
for the customers' satisfaction.
it took me waaaay back, hahaha!
it was cute though.
all of the plush pleather booths,
the front table area
w/it's sparkly red stools...
pacman right by the door...
lovely!
definitely nothing like Steak 'N Shake!
the prices were more reasonable too!
a $3 steak burger-worth $3.
who would've thought?!

(actual burger-NOT a picture)
so we ate, and i ordered a bacon cheeseburger plain
and some onion rings.
they were scrumbcious!
but nothing touched
the vanilla malt milkshake!
it was the maltiest malt!
and the whipped cream...
oooh the whipped cream!
it was SO rich and thick!
and i thought the Cheesecake Factory whipped cream was rich!
i don't ever think i've finished a whole milkshake
of any kind before.
if so, rarely!
but i scarfed that down!
another memory to keep dear to me.
simple, but lovely!

Another Item O' Mine

i felt like doing one more item o' mine just for the heck of it this week. this is my metal "chain" tie.

it's some type of mysterious metal circles linked together to form a chain-i think it's cute! i got it @ Claire's and it hasn't fallen apart yet believe it or not! haha!

it's a charcoal color and fun to wear for an edge, although it's sooo slinky it tends to curl under a lot, but that gives me an excuse to uncurl it and play with it some, haha!

but yeah, this is my 2nd item of the week! i'll have more unique and fun things to share in future weeks from my room.

What's Trapped in My Closet: Zebra Sandals!

okay, so for this week's "item in my possesion", i decided to display my zebra sandals! i got them @ target last year-one of those, "loe @ first sight" items that i just kept thinking about.

i've only worn them once, because i want to make sure that i wear the perfect outfit with them (that's how much i treasure them), haha!

but yeah, they are lovely and i love them-i might do one more item this week becasue it's fun to share my closet's belongings.

shall blog waaay more in a few!

toodles for now.

Review: Orphan

okay, so i ended up seeing the Orphan last weekend. and i must admit it was pretty good! i kept hearing it was scary, but it wasn't @ all. the plot was good-so now i put that in the catergorey of, "Decent Horror Flick" up there w/"The Descent". congrats "Orphan"!

the little girl who played Esther did such a good job! i didn't flich @ all the entire movie, because they did those stupid uncalled for loud noises to try and scare you. it had a little suspense...great plat though! and one word to subscribe this moive: realistic and brutal (okay then, two)! to me, it would make me really look into the child i'm going to adopt to make sure all's well, haha!

i'd reccommend it though! and i'd see it again if i had the chance. oh yeah! i saw it w/my boyfriend and called a small bizzare part all the way in the beginning that made my boyfriend say, "no WAY will that happen!...who thinks of that anyway??".

but i called it, haha! that made me happy...oh, and there are guessable moments too-but still good!

i highly reccomend it as a decent horror flick!

Magazines Can Be Diaries Too

i have many stories that i've been inspired to tell since my trip to Chicago and back. the two days were probably one of the best feelings i've had in a while... great times! haha.

so i decided to put each story that popped up in my head as seperate stories so it wouldn't be too drawn-out ALLLL in one post, haha!

while my dad, brother, and i stalled waiting for the burger joint to open, we walked around in a Wal-Mart nearby. we were looking through electronics and the books were right next to that section, so i decided to see all the magazines they carried. (i was hoping to find a NYLON in there but didn't, hahaha!). i did find teen vogue and liked what i saw in the nintendo magazine, but it made me think about how my taste in magazines changed.

@ first, i'm sure many girls started w/magazines like, "GL" or "J-14" (...i think that's the name for them...). ya know, those magazines with a million celebs on the front cover that makes it look like a busy college?? always filled with, "is he into you?" quizzes and around 15 smackers ads...

then you move on to bigger better things- "seventeen", "teen people", and "cosmo girl" (those are what i've read anyway). @ this point you're like, "NOW we're talkin'!" so much advice and fashion in the colums that you can't help but to love!

and now, while i was down there, i purchased my first teen vogue. and i've also graduated to NYLON, as mentioned a million times in my blog!

i don't know...when you look back, it's just like a diary of how much you've matured and grown.

*Whew!*

hey guys!
i'm back!
i know it's only been two days,
but i went on a trip
and now were celebrating my grandpa's bday!
but i have had sooooo much inspiration for new posts
and sooooo many things to talk about!
i can't wait!
don't forget to tell your friends to keep reading my blog!
have a great day!
i'll write my heart out once things calm down.
toodles loves!

[Another Love @ First Sight]: Animal Cloud Converse!!

sure,
i believe in love @ first sight
when it comes to spying things you reeeeally love
and as soon as you lay eyes on it,
your mind wonders rarely on anything else!

like these animal cloud converse...i saw them in a magazine and DIED.

i know i probably stared @ that page for...5 minutes?

ilovethemilovethemilovethemilovethem!

i MUST have them!

they're sooo cute && creative!!

ahhhhh!

possible birthday gift??

hmm.
